Deidre Chegahno-Millar is a Member of the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation in Neyaashiinigmiing, ON. Medium focus: Quill, birch and bead work. “I work with different mediums when creating, but my heart is always drawn to porcupine quill and birch work. My Gramma was an amazing quill box maker. To be able to carry on this tradition in some form is both healing and restorative. I also love to teach these skills to the younger generation and am pleased knowing that this knowledge will continue on.”
